Follow Me Boys…..

This is the title of a Disney movie with Fred MacMurray and Kurt Russell (as the troubled kid), if you haven’t seen it you should. Especially if you are in scouting, have boys in scouts or just because…..

Steve took the 11 year old patrol (Blazers) on an over night camporee combined with the Boy Scout troop from Immokalee. The theme was ‘Medieval’ with Search for the Holy Grail events in which the boys competed and participated in. This was a first for these boys camping out and they were excited. So much that one of them threw up before they were barely on the road (luckily he was next to a window).

Live Your Dash….

I was at the Hair Salon today and someone asked me if I had heard the Poem- The Dash!

Of course I responded NO- so I read it and wanted to share it with you- go to this site www.lindaellis.net and click on READ THE DASH…

What impressed me was since I frequent cemeteries (not like it’s a hobby) but when in places like Key West or on the trip to Va. with my Dad, it always seems peaceful and relaxing to me. So the idea is of looking at a grave stone and seeing a beginning and an end date with a DASH in between. What’s important in LIFE is what we do with the dash. Never thought of it in this way!

I hope I can make the most of each day and live it to the fullest….
