The Number 80…..

We took a trip to Nauvoo, Illinois to celebrate my Mom’s 80th birthday….

I was fortunate to have a friend of my mom’s offer to let us use her house for the surprise party. Much easier to pull off that way…

Everything was provided so all I had to do was get my mom there. I think she was ‘really’ surprised at the amount of people- she is loved by many!

Had to slip my Dad in here :)

My Mom came home to a ‘heart attack’ in her yard- this made her day!

What a wonderful Mother I have… so glad Steve, Ashley and I were able to spend this time with her and my Dad.

Red, White & Blue…..

Hard to believe a year ago on July 4th we were doing the parade in Naples with the Cub Scouts and here we are again….

This time we decorated the float alot simpler but due to rain and Steve’s bout in the hospital we had to go the extra mile physically. Plus Ashley pitched in (with her arm in a splint).

The boys were good sports waiting in the sun for the parade to start…

Then a surprise visit from Ronald McDonald and yes he is a clown ( I know it’s scary ;)

On to our house for swimming and a cook-out. We had lots of company…

It was Christopher’s ninth birthday so we celebrated- plus he is one of my favorites- shhh…

Bittersweet for these Elders- they taught and baptized Chris and the one on the right was a few days away from going home!
