This past wk.end May 3rd- 5th was filled with activities celebrating Hailey’s 8th birthday and baptism!
Welcome to DisneyLand…
First ride- Dumbo of course
Nick & G.pa were constant buddies!
These girls love the Teacup ride…
Nick was chosen for Jedi training- apparently it’s a Big Deal…
Hailey’s own scriptures!
Tradition of getting your ears pierced when you turn 8 years old!
G.ma made a rainbow cake with pink frosting!
We were honored to be a part of Hailey’s Baptism Day! She is such a delight to be around and is quite funny! When I asked her if she felt the Power of the Priesthood (7 men took part in her confirmation) she said- yah I felt the power on my head, I could hardly keep my neck up! :)
As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness -- just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm.”
I've spent the past 40 years married to a wonderful guy named Steve- 6 children have blessed our home and currently 10 grandchildren. Now an 'Empty Nester' I volunteer as a Giraffe docent at the Naples Zoo . Of course being a grandparent is my greatest reward!
