A New Little Princess....

For those of you who have asked- I have included some of the decorations I used for Audrey's Baby shower It was held in Ft. Lauderdale-May 28th.

The theme was about a Little Princess and the colors
Hot Pink and Lime Green! (gumballs)

Thanks to my daughter Amber who helped me with alot of fun ideas and
suggestions!

These Princess (crown) cookies were made as a Labor
of Love for Audrey as her gift by Julia Brown.

Each was wrapped separately :)

Another fun idea was this bag-
'About to Pop'
filled with popcorn....

Special cake to celebrate!

Lots of fun gifts!

Part of Audrey's guests- the rest had already left!
So happy to have my Aunt Jennie there...

Pepperdine Graduation....

April 30th was Phil's graudation from Pepperdine Univ.

He got a Master of Fine Arts in Screen Writing. He actually
graduated during the year but this was the ceremony he got to walk in.

Phil walking in.... it was especially windy!

After the ceremony- we were all alittle
sunburned- esp. Phil

Congrats to Phil- we are proud of you!

Beuatiful view where the graduation took place!

special lunch afterwards with family & friends

Hailey is Six.....

On April 29th we were in CA. and able to

attend Hailey's 6th birthday party. Here's a cute shirt

we picked out for her party!

Nick and Hailey waiting for the kids to arrive!

Her theme was a 'Tangled' party

so here she is waiting to break the

pinata (Thompson tradition)

Princess alert- the cake had them all!

Gotta get the frosting off somehow :)
We enjoyed being with Hailey on her special day!

She is so much fun, creative and full of energy

A Day in the Life.....

March 2011 Our first night in Utah -

we took the girls out to dinner

(Chelsea, Andrea, Patience, Taylor)

Emily & Amanda were missing!

I ended up staying a week because.....

Andrea tore the ACL in her right knee skiing.

The four guys above (Jake, James, James &

Steve) came to her rescue. They visited her

and played games (all sorts) besides being her

hometeachers - they are great friends!

Conference wk.end- Andrea with cousin Sharsten! Early morning shot of the Provo Temple... Snowed 8 inches while I was in Utah- to me it was beautiful.... Family time- Sharsten, Bishop Larry, AnnMarie, JoAn, Nicolle, MaryAnn & friend Nick! I spent a week and discovered the hecktic college life again- walking the campus, carrying the heavy
backpack, standing in line for lunch, finding an empty
spot to eat and attending classes with Andrea.
Proud of her for going the distance (literally) and
having great friends to help out!

My Special Friend.....

celebrating Lil Bickford Lil with two of her daughters-
Nancy & Chris

This is Lil's first time to the Naples Zoo!

Lil loves Giraffes and has a collection of them at her home!

(L to R): Cindy, Marty, Donna, Lil, Chris & Nancy

Lil turns 88 on March 12th and I wanted to make it
special for her. So I decided it was high time she saw
the Giraffes at the Naples Zoo. I have been Lil's
visiting teacher for many years- she taught my son
Patrick (who is now 26) as a Sunbeam! I have learned
so much from her- she is a dear friend. I am so
thankful we have this program in our church so I can
develop friendships that will last a life time!
Happy Birthday Lil....

It's a jungle out there.....

Adorable.....
As some of you know- my mom and I are volunteering
at the Naples Zoo each week with the Giraffes!
There are 7 males and we love seeing them!

Feb. 22nd- was a big fund raising event at the
Ritz Carlton- called Zoobilee.
(L to R): volunteer, Donna, Kristen (heads up the
volunteer program) & Marty (my mom).

We were having a great time walking
around looking at all the creative props
and decorations....

So happy my mom could attend with me (along with Steve
who was a good sport about going). We enjoy animals
and learning more about them together- esp. the Giraffes!

painting on a piece of a Palm tree!
My Dad could do this easy :)

The Conch Republic...

Feb. 12, 2011 My Dad and I visiting Key West- on a chilly day!
Unique sights to behold....

The main reason we came was for the groundbreaking
at the Key West Branch where I joined the church.

My Dad and Gary Kelly (both past Branch Presidents)

'Donna & Sondra'
Turning the dirt.....

Steve & Sonny take a turn!

We always have to stop here for
'Cuban Food'

Love the quaint houses....

Wondering what to do with those extra shells you have?

Another Cow?
I know you're thinking- you just went there? But this
was an important event for us and we've been waiting
a long time. We hope to have a new chapel in Key West
by the end of the year! Change is good but my heart
will always stay with that 'little building' where it all started!
